R.G. Kirkpatrick, Jr.
As President of Triangle Grading and Paving Inc, R.G. “Gray” Kirkpatrick, Jr. has a wide range of duties that include monitoring the progress of all corporate projects, overseeing division managers, and providing input in deciding what projects the company will bid and at what price.
Gray has more than two decades of experience in the construction industry. As the son of Triangle Grading and Paving Inc founder, the late R.G. “Ronnie” Kirkpatrick, Sr., Jr. began working in the shop at the family business in 1989 operating heavy equipment as a foreman. Gray progressed to serving as a superintendent supervising projects. In 1994, he became a project manager for the eastern area of North Carolina and led oversight of construction of highways, school buildings, shopping centers, federal waste landfills and related projects with cost up to $20 million. Gray assumed his senior management position in 2000, followed by becoming president in 2018.
R.G. "Trey" Kirkpatrick, III.
As Vice-President of Triangle Grading and Paving, Inc, R.G. “Trey” Kirkpatrick III holds a wide range of responsibilities for the company. From operating heavy machinery to overseeing the operations of numerous multi-million dollar projects, Trey enjoys spending most of his time in the field. He is responsible for the activities, progress, performance, and personnel of his jobs.
Trey is the third generation Kirkpatrick to work at Triangle - his late grandfather, R.G. “Ronnie” Kirkpatrick Sr., started the company in 1984. Since he was a young boy, Trey has been in and around the construction industry and once old enough, spent his afternoons and weekends operating equipment. He is a proud graduate of Appalachian State University, where he majored in Construction Management. In 2018, he became a full-time employee of Triangle. He now serves Triangle as the Vice-President and as General Superintendent. Trey has experience on numerous public and private projects, including warehouses, multi-unit properties, schools, subdivisions, and road widenings.
Andy Corbett, c-MESH
As Corporate Safety Director for Triangle Grading and Paving Inc, William A. (Andy) Corbett, Jr. is responsible for the areas of loss prevention, control, and development of various safety programs to reduce loss in the areas of personal, vehicle, property and general liability. He oversees all security operations on a regular basis to ensure that construction efforts are performed in a safe and professional manner. Andy has more than 40 years of professional experience in the construction industry. He joined Triangle Grading and Paving Inc in August 2010 as a special projects manager and transferred to human resources director a year later before assuming his present position in February 2014. Prior to working with the company, Andy served 14 years with Keck Company of Burlington, N.C., as Vice President of Commercial Construction and Chief Estimator/Manager for the general contracting company. This followed 14 years where he served in various roles, including inside sales representative, outside sales representative, engineering coordinator and assistant sales manager, at Shoffner Industries Inc. of Burlington, N.C., a manufacturer of structural wood trusses for residential, commercial and agricultural buildings. Andy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering “Construction Option” from NC State University.
Stephen T. Martin
As Shop/Equipment/Vehicle Manager for Triangle Grading and Paving Inc, Steve Martin handles all of the company mechanics, equipment, and vehicles. Steve has more than 45 years of professional experience in the construction industry. He joined Triangle Grading and Paving Inc in 1984 as heavy highway and commercial construction manager. Prior to working with the company, he served as the asphalt paving division manager for Greer Limestone in Morgantown, W. Va., asphalt and concrete plants manager for Excavation Construction in Bladensburg, Md., and mechanic for the Troxler Asphalt Company in Washington, D.C. He began the latter job after graduation from high school.
